I offer customized interactive programs for k-12 that encourage students to reach out for help and resources
Speak Out Reach Out Chats
Hi I am alexina
the kids are not alright
We have seen that 36% of teens report new or worsening mental health issues since the start of the pandemic. Many of these teens are suffering in silence afraid of being stigmatized, or don’t know where to get help. I was that teen 11 years ago. By offering my lived-experiences I can help validate their feelings and encourage them to speak out and reach out for help
In collaboration with mental health professionals, I have created programs that serve student k-12. These participatory programs aim to normalize mental health issues, educate teens about what’s happening to their brains, and share valuable local and national resources.
our program objectives
Create a safe environment for students to talk about mental wellness and support one another.
Reassurance that things get better by offering practical advice to help empower them to take charge of their overall wellness.
Offer personal lived experiences and remind them that they are not alone in their experiences.
